Last January 15, 2024, our team from TASARRA + Architects had the privilege to participate in a plant visit to GETO, a leading Aluminum Formworks company in Guangzhou, China. The visit was organized in line with the 4PH (Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino) Housing Program of the Philippines—an initiative that aims to deliver sustainable and affordable housing to Filipino families nationwide.
Joining us on this important mission was the Undersecretary of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), along with esteemed developers and engineers who share a common goal: to explore innovative building technologies that can accelerate the delivery of mass housing projects in the Philippines.
During the visit, the GETO team showcased their state-of-the-art aluminum formwork systems, which offer a faster, safer, and more sustainable alternative to traditional construction methods. The technology allows for efficient structural works, reduced construction time, and high-quality finishes, making it a promising solution for the scale and speed required in the 4PH program.
As architects, developers, and policymakers, we witnessed firsthand how this advanced system could play a significant role in transforming the Philippine housing sector. The exchange of knowledge and collaboration during the visit underscored the importance of adopting modern construction technologies to meet the growing housing demands of our people.
This plant visit to GETO reflects our firm’s continued commitment to support initiatives like the 4PH Program, where innovation, collaboration, and sustainability come together to build not just houses—but lasting communities for future generations.
